Mars Retrograde
Every two
and a half years Mars, the warrior planet, goes retrograde.
This is the only time it can oppose the Sun, the King. This
year the retrograde period starts on December 20th and
finishes on March 10th. Mars will be in the sign of Leo –
the sign of kings.
We are
certainly faced at the moment with the issue of who rules
the planet.
The actual
opposition of Mars to the Sun is January 29, 2010.
Symbolically this is when the warrior challenges the king.
In the world it is one thing, inside each of us is a world
and that is another thing.
This
period encourages us to challenge our ideals which may be
stale or irrelevant to the actual world in which we live
with the full force of our whole hearted passion for life.
